Navident: Your Partner in Perfecting Dental Implants

Hello, I’m Dr. Rahul Shah, often recognized in the dental community as Dr. Navitech. My journey in dentistry has been driven by a passion for innovation and a deep commitment to enhancing patient care. Today, I want to share with you the remarkable transformation that the Navident technology has brought to the world of dental implants.

When I first introduced the Claronav Navident machine to India in 2017, it was not merely about bringing a new tool to the market. It was about revolutionizing the way we approach dental implantology. The dynamic navigation system renowned for its precision and efficiency, has set a new standard in implant placement and surgical planning.

In the realm of dental implants, precision is paramount. Traditional methods often involve guesswork and manual adjustments, which can lead to variations in implant placement and, consequently, affect the overall outcome. The Navident system changes this paradigm entirely. By integrating advanced 3D imaging technology with real-time navigation, Navident allows for unparalleled accuracy in implant placement.

The system combines Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) with a sophisticated navigation interface, enabling us to visualize the implant placement in three dimensions. This not only enhances the precision of the procedure but also minimizes the risk of complications. For me, the introduction of Navident to India eight years ago was more than just a technological advancement; it was a leap towards better patient outcomes and more efficient procedures.

One of the aspects I find most compelling about Navident is its user-friendly interface. It empowers dental professionals to plan and execute simple to complex surgical procedures with confidence, knowing that they are backed by real-time data and guidance. This is crucial for ensuring that dental implants are placed in the optimal position, especially now. Thanks to dyanamic navigation we are doing previously uncommon procedures like zygoma and pterygoid implants very routinely at Sahyog maxillofacial centre, Thane, India. This ultimately contributes to the longevity and functionality of the implants.

Furthermore, the Navident system aligns with my philosophy of patient-centered care. It allows for a more predictable approach, reducing the time patients spend in the chair and enhancing their overall experience. Full mouth dental implant surgeries can be accomplished in one fourth the time with double the accuracy. This ensures that we can provide our patients with the best possible outcomes, tailored to their unique anatomical needs.

From 2019, I worked with the Navident team in Canada for more than  two years. Thanks to that experience I was able to train dentists and surgeons in USA, Canada and Europe. I had the opportunity to revisit the Claronav office in Canada recently, where the Navident technology is developed. This visit proved that with sound science and team dedication like theirs, this technology is going to take us only forward. Witnessing the innovation firsthand reinforced my enthusiasm for bringing such advancements to our practice and reaffirmed the transformative potential of dynamic navigation.

As I reflect on the journey of introducing Navident to India, I am filled with a sense of accomplishment and excitement for the future. The positive feedback from both patients and colleagues has been immensely gratifying. It reaffirms my belief that innovation, when combined with a commitment to excellence, can truly transform the field of digital dentistry.
